| (NOT OFFERED IN 2008-2009) In this seminar workshop, students discover and challenge preconceptions about a broad range of styles, genres, traditions and conventions in "creative writing". In developing their writerly voices, students explore and are encouraged to create poetry, fiction, autobiography, performance texts, musical forms, photo and art works using text, interdiciplinary writing and collaborative experimentation. Exposure to a variety of contemporary literature helps students integrate theoretical/critical perspectives into their developing voices and to make links between current writing trends and art/cultural discourses. |
