BDes Degree
The Faculty of Design offers the Bachelor of Design degree with programs in Advertising, Environmental Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Industrial Design and Material Art & Design. BDes students must complete Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences courses in specific areas of study including Humanities, Social Science, and Science/Technology/Mathematics as part of their Design program.

AOCAD Diploma
Students in the Faculty of Design diploma program (admitted prior to 2006/07) complete their studies in Advertising, Environmental Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Industrial Design and Material Art & Design. Diploma students are required to include 4.0 credits of liberal studies courses in their Design program as outlined under the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences. These courses are normally taken in the subject areas of History and Theory of Visual Culture and English. Diploma students may substitute studio-seminars for up to 1.0 credit of the liberal studies requirement.
