This course builds upon the investigation and practice of publishing begun in Publications 1. Students analyse and critique current publication models in order to develop their own approach to production and dissemination. Students work collaboratively to create a catalogue, monograph or periodical designed for print and electronic distribution. Production aspects, including content and art direction, the language of the editor, fact-checking and associated research, image-sourcing, and the basic elements of layout and graphic design will constitute an important part of this course. |
