Prerequisite: ILLU 1B05 Illustrative Drawing Principles |
|
Integrating representational drawing principles and practices with previously introduced painting methods, students execute works with a heightened sensitivity to observation and accuracy. Further examination of surface anatomy, proportion, human locomotion is undertaken to inform sketching from life and from memory. Students also employ increasingly complex techniques while assessing the physical properties and aesthetic possibilities inherent in acrylic, watercolour and water-soluble oil painting media. Ongoing sketchbook assignments maintain a drawing routine outside the classroom. |
