Animation has entered all zones of art and design practice. The Expanded Animation minor provides an opportunity for students to explore animation across the disciplines. This minor will provide opportunities for exploring media art, graphic design, drawing and critical practices as they relate to the moving image, interactivity and the virtual. The focus is on innovation, experimentation, imagination, creativity and critical thinking. The Expanded Animation Minor is a collaboration of the Faculties of Art, Design and Liberal Studies.

**With the approval of an Associate Dean, 0.5 credit of option studio courses can be substituted with a 0.5 self-directed study.
A minor consists of 3.0 credits minimum, 5.0 credits maximum.
Up to 2.0 credits of electives from a student’s major may count towards their minor.
