Register early to secure enrolment in required courses, as courses may fill up quickly. If a course is cancelled, you may be notified by telephone and/or by e-mail. It is not always possible to contact you before the start date of the classes.
Alumni admitted to Postgraduate Certificate Programs will have access to registration starting Tuesday August 2, 2011, 9 a.m. [updated 2011-06-22] Please contact the appropriate Faculty office to request access to required courses.
Students admitted to OCAD University on Special Student status will have access to registration starting Tuesday August 2, 2011, 9 a.m. [updated 2011-06-22] Course eligibility is based on a brief personal interview. Please contact the appropriate Faculty Office to make an appointment.
Priority Enrolment:
Most courses have priority registration for students in a specific Faculty and/or Major. Priority enrolment will end according to the dates below, after which any remaining spaces in courses (except Thesis) will be open to students in other Faculties and Majors.
Year 4 courses – priority enrolment will be lifted on Monday, July 18, 2011
Year 3 courses – priority enrolment will be lifted on Thursday, July 21, 2011
Year 2 courses – priority enrolment will be lifted on Monday, August 1, 2011
Late Registration:
Students who do not register for any courses before August 26 will incur a $70 late registration fee.
Full-year course (duration 1) late registration starts August 27, 2011.
Fall semester (duration 2) late registration starts August 27, 2011.
Winter semester (duration 3) late registration starts December 17, 2011.
Registration Ends:
Full-year course (duration 1) registration closes at midnight, Monday, September 12, 2011.
Fall semester (duration 2) registration closes at midnight, Monday, September 12, 2011.
Winter semester (duration 3) registration closes at midnight, Friday, January 13, 2012.
Add, Drop or Change:
You may add, drop (for full refund) or change full-year (duration 1) course sections until midnight on Monday, September 12, 2011.
You may add, drop (for full refund) or change course sections for the fall semester (duration 2) until midnight on Monday, September 12, 2011.
You may add, drop (for full refund) or change course sections for the winter semester (duration 3) until midnight on Friday, January 13, 2012.
Withdrawal Deadlines:
You may not withdraw from full-year (duration 1) courses after
Friday, February 3, 2012.
You may not withdraw from fall semester (duration 2) courses after
Friday, November 4, 2011.
You may not withdraw from winter semester (duration 3) courses after
Friday, March 16, 2012.
Notes:
Fees are due on or before 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2011. If fees are not paid by 4:00 p.m., Friday August 26, you will incur a $50 late payment fee.
Fall semester and full year classes begin the week of Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
Winter semester classes begin the week of Monday, January 9, 2012.
You will not be eligible to register if you have an outstanding account with the Finance office or with the Dorothy H. Hoover Library.
