Retail Branding Project

Prerequisite: ADVR 4C01 Advertising Concept 5
and 14.0 credits, including all first-year and second- year requirement (10.0 credits)
Corequisite: ADVR 4C02 Advertising Concept 6
In addition to the Advertising Concept 6, students are expected to complete a major project which would include corporate branding (re-branding), visualization of the brand in the physical environment including overall space layout, appropriate materials / colour choices, fixtures, labeling, sinage and/or interior way-finding, plus an integrated marketing campaign which would include as a minimum, up to 6 media choices and executions for all. Colour, structure and design are explored for their optimal effectiveness, resulting in a full single-voice identity program. A concluding presentation and rationale is required.
Conditions: Should a student be unsuccessful in attaining a 60% average in ADVR 4C02, they will be required, regardless of their mark in ADVR 4C01, to repeat the fall component of ADVR 4C01, as well as the winter component of ADVR 4C02, and its companion course ADVR 4B08 Retail Branding Project.
