| This course builds on the skills obtained previously in the making of books and book objects and continues in the development of artists' books and art publications in contemporary culture. The course will focus on the design, production and distribution of limited edition artists' books, zines, graphic novels, digital and hand printed to include works that use imagery as narrative and text as image. Students will explore the history of books as both cultural artifacts and information disseminators. Students are required to do independent research on contemporary book artists and complete a publication as a major project. |
