| This course is an introductory investigation and study of the behaviours and properties of ceramic materials. Through careful experimentation and testing, the student will come to understand the behaviour of clay and glaze when combined in a variety of ways as well as the response of these materials when exposed to various temperatures. Basic clay body formulation will be addressed in the beginning of the term followed by the study of the properties of glaze development. |
