Prerequisite: 3.0 credits of first-year studio and 1.0 credit of first-year liberal studies, (must include one of the Essay and the Argument courses with a passing grade of 60%: ENGL 1B04 or ENGL 1B05, formerly LBST 1B11, LBST 1B12 or LBST 1B13). |

Hybrid Media Lab has a multi-disciplinary focus; students learn to combine diverse media in their art production while being introduced to experimental working methods. The course will examine how artists integrate various media and installation works, audio, film and video hybrids and digital interfaces. Students learn to work collaboratively by carrying interdisciplinary projects through various stages of production. Converging sites of practice will be explored, discussed and analyzed. |

Notes: This course in required for all 200-level Integrated Media Majors. Priority in registration is given to Integrated Media Majors. Students enrolled in INTM 2B29 Video for Artists I and INTM 2B34 Hybrid Media Lab must register for the corresponding labs that are linked to those courses. This course triggers Laptop Program fees for the Integrated Media Laptop Program. |
