This studio is designed to support a student in the exploration of an approved thesis topic. Students will be required to submit a Thesis Proposal in advance of this studio. The purpose of the Thesis Proposal is to aide the student and the faculty in developing a meaningful direction for the development and execution into an approved area of investigation. In Thesis I students will be expected to refine their thesis idea and to define the project scope by developing an outline program exploring the context of a site and the beginnings of an articulated architectural formal language. |

Notes: Due to course content, it is required that students register with the SAME INSTRUCTORS for ENVR 4C01 and ENVR 4C02 and both courses must be taken in the same academic year. |

Conditions: Requires a minimum grade of 60% to advance to ENVR 4C02 Environmental Design Thesis II. Should a student be unsuccessful in attaining a 60% average in ENVR 4C02, they will be required, regardless of their mark in ENVR 4C01 to repeat the fall component of Thesis, ENVR 4C01, as well as the winter component of Thesis, ENVR 4C02. |
