| This course is an advanced surface design study that builds on skills and processes acquired in Surface Design 1. Students will develop design concepts at a higher level while mastering technical skills such as fibre reactive dye printing, discharge printing, devore, batik techniques and many other possible applications related to surface design. Equally, this course emphasizes the use of digital technologies. Core strategies are built around creative problem solving and effective visual communication. The course will be delivered using lectures, demonstrations, in-class discussions and one-on-one and group critiques. |
