Prerequisite: 9.0 credits, including all first-year requirements (5.0 credits)
This course explores the basic and applied design research methodologies that interpret art, science or cultural concepts as applied to museum exhibits, addressing the conceptualization, research, organization, design and production of museum exhibits through a variety of techniques and media. It seeks to enhance the currency of the museum experience through innovative use of technology, but emphasizes the core need to interpret the content in a motivational and meaningful way. It works with a hybrid application of curatorial thought and spatial realities to create an experience that is valid and inspiring.
