Environmental Design Studio 1

Prerequisite: ENVR 3K01 Core Project Studio/Retail & Hospitality (minimum grade of 60%) or ENVR 3B20 Core Project Studio/Retail & Hospitality (minimum grade of 60%)
and 14.0 credits, including all first-year and second- year requirement (10.0 credits)
This advanced studio will focus on the exploration of complex physical, special and functional programs in the built environment. It is intended to extend the knowledge gained in all previous core studios and core courses to present comprehensive design solutions that are socially, technically and creatively crafted. Studio topics will be determined by by their capacity to challenge the students' creativity allowing the student to select topics from health care and
interior-imaging to housing and urban ecology.
Anti-requisite: ENVR 4C01 Thesis II Project Development
Notes: Due to course content, it is required that students register with the SAME INSTRUCTORS for ENVR 4C03 and ENVR 4C04 and both courses must be taken in the same academic year.
Conditions: Requires a minimum grade of 60% to advance to ENVR 4C04 Environmental Design Studio 2.
Should a student be unsuccessful in attaining a 60% average in ENVR 4C04, they will be required, regardless of their mark in ENVR 4C03 to repeat the fall component of of this course, ENVR 4C03, as well as the winter component, ENVR 4C04.
