(NOT OFFERED IN 2010-2011) Throughout the world, men and women have historically been represented differently, whether those differences are attributed to nature or to culture. Drawing on cross-cultural critiques of art and culture - feminist, masculinist and queer - this course introduces students to some of the historical and contemporary contexts that have contributed to the construction of gendered identities. |
