3D visualization is a fast-growing practice. As a creative tool it can be used to make the invisible visible and to understand complex information and vast amounts of data. Visualization offers exciting opportunities for artists and designers including insights and collaborations with medicine, science and community networks. In this course, students will explore practices of 3D visualization. They will learn to visualize ideas through digital media including 3D animation and modeling software. Studio-based projects will include artworks, visualizations and animated sequences. Through seminars, case studies, discussion and critique, projects will be honed from concept to completion through a series of development stages.
Conditions: Experience in digital media required.
