This studio course presents a creative approach to fundamental skills and techniques involved in the making of cast bronze and aluminum sculpture. Students will produce small sculptural forms through the lost wax process and be introduced to 3D technology and Rapid Prototyping (RP) computer automated fabrication. Through both analogue and digital approaches, students will be introduced to bronze casting applications in contemporary art and design. Students are encouraged to link their bronze casting project with multi media sculpture/installation concepts. |
