This course provides students with a working knowledge of professional practices that enables them to bridge their creative talents with the commercial marketplace. Through weekly lectures and discussions, role playing and written exercises, students will attain a thorough understanding of the processes involved in commissioning artwork, writing contracts, copyright, taxation and self-promotion in Canada and abroad. Emphasis is placed on the many benefits of working in a professional, ethical and entrepreneurial manner within an ever increasing competitive field. |
