(NOT OFFERED IN 2008-2009) Every culture has its unique attitudes to the practices of technology, which are conditioned by political and economic factors, and beliefs about the role of science and technology. This course looks at the practices of technology in a number of different cultures and examines some of the resulting technological images and their impact on contemporary society and our lives. |
